I have never been a blogger... but I figured this would be the best way to share my work and write a little bit about my experiences around it. So wish me luck... first blog post!
I started communicating with Heidi a little over a year ago. My favorite clients are always the ones that hear about me through the grape vine. She had called me and started the conversation saying that her friend from work had used me, (who had also heard about me from someone else) and would love to have my style at her wedding! We worked out the details and started the process.
After a couple of different crazy mishaps (my life is insane) we finally got to meet for an engagement session at her barn location. I had never been to Pinehall in Butler, PA before- but it was absolutely gorgeous! I can't wait to show you what it had to offer.
The wedding day finally came... the forecast had been showing what looked like a hurricane in the forecast.... I think that I worry about weather more than my brides do! But after about 11:00 AM the weather started to clear up. It was definitely humid but perfect for a July wedding.
Pinehall offers a gorgeous bridal suite that even has a full kitchen and a salon chair for getting ready- how awesome is that?
All of Heidi's flowers were second-hand... genius! And absolutely gorgeous.
A tip for my brides- whenever you choose your venue, make sure where you're getting ready has PLENTY of natural light! I want to showcase that beautiful gown of yours.
Jason & Heidi were my first ever vow renewal- the first time around, they were 8 months pregnant with Charlotte ^ and just went to the JP. Heidi had known that for her 5 year anniversary, that she wanted to do something special for the two of them and their families. I'm so happy that it was able to happen for them!
ohhhh my goodnesss. Is she not stunning? I absolutely loved the bridal suite here- it made it way too easy for me to capture Heidi in all of her elegance.
I love that Jason & Heidi's kiddos were a big part of their day.
The ceremony took place under the trees and definitely helped keep us cool in the July heat! The little bit of breeze we had made it perfect.
Yayy! We made it!
I so appreciated that the wedding coordinator asked whisked these two away for a couple of minutes to soak it all in before the party started- It seems like from here on out it's all a blur! I loved this sweet moment where they just held each other and enjoyed their love & marriage.
The first (well, maybe not the FIRST) dance!
I always love these moments with dad.
Heidi's sister is a PHENOMENAL baker. After all the weddings I've attended, I consider myself quite the cake critic. Their s'mores cake with marshmallow buttercream gets a 10/10!
We waited until the sun went down a little bit to get pictures of the couple together. Pinehall has so many gorgeous options for photos and we took advantage of it all!
The barn is about a half-mile back a dirt road road, and it's completely covered in rows of baby trees. I loved going through them and snapping a couple of shots!
I guess this blog thing isn't too bad. I'll try to keep up with it regularly! Let me know what you think.
